Homemade Snickers Bars

I'll post later tonight or tomorrow morning the {Part 2} of My Big Fat Greek Dinner (the chicken is currently marinating right now), but I had to share this fantastic treat I made yesterday!

Any holiday that candy is involved, my dad gets Snickers Bars. Every Halloween, my sister and I would hand over our Snickers Bars to our dad and on Christmas he also gets Snickers in his stocking from my mom every year. This man loves Snickers! When I saw this recipe, I immediately thought of my dad and since they taste just like the real deal, I have gotta make these for him this Father's Day!

Here is how you can make your own homemade Snickers Bars...

First layer:
-1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
-2 tbsp Butterscotch Chips
-2 tbsp Peanut Butter

Combine the ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals until the ingredients have melted together. Mix in between each interval. It took me about 90 seconds total to melt them together.

Spread the first layer evenly into your greased 8x8 baking dish. Refrigerate while you make the second layer.

For the 2nd Layer (aka the Filling):
-2 tbsp Butter
-1/2 cup Sugar
-2 tbsp Milk
-2/3 cup Marshmallow Fluff
-2 tbsp Peanut Butter
-1/2 cup chopped Lightly Salted Peanuts

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over Medium-Heat, add sugar and milk and bring to a boil. Stir for 5 minutes until thickened.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in marshmallow fluff, peanut butter and peanuts.

Spread over first layer. Refrigerate while making the third layer.

For the 3rd Layer:
-1 whole bag of Werther's Original Caramels (5.5 oz bag)
-2 tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream

Unwrap the caramels and combine the two ingredients in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second intervals (about 60 seconds total) until melted.

Spread evenly over the filling and refrigerate while making the last layer.

For the Last Layer (same as first layer):
-1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
-2 tbsp Butterscotch Chips
-2 tbsp Peanut Butter
Combine the ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals until the ingredients have melted together. Mix in between each interval. Spread evenly over the caramel layer and refrigerate for 1-2 hours until the Snickers Bars are completely set...or until you must dig in and enjoy your homemade candy bars!
Cut into bars (4x2 inch or 2x1 inch) and ENJOY!
