Sausage Gravy and Biscuits...Oh my!

This recipe is why I love Dusty because he introduced his mother's recipe into my life and breakfast has never been the same. Actually there are more reasons I love Dusty....Tuna Casserole, Broccoli Soup, Chicken Enchiladas....Oops! Uh, I mean I love him because he is kind, loving, handsome, intelligent! (Whew).

I was craving this so badly this morning, luckily I had everything I needed to make it!

This is what you need for 4-6 people:
-1 lb. Sage Pork Sausage
-1/2 of an Onion-Diced
-6 Tbsp Flour
-1 Qt. Half & Half (Yes, I said it! This recipe requires going to the gym later that day)
-1/2 tsp Poultry Seasoning
-1/4 tsp Nutmeg
-1 & 1/2 tsp Salt
-1 to 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce (whatever tickles your fancy)
-Dashes of Tabasco to your liking
-Dashes of Liquid Smoke to your liking

The best thing about this recipe, it's so good but super easy to make!

Brown the onion and sausage in a deep saucepan at Medium Heat. Once the meat has browned, don't drain the fat. I told you this was going to be good!
Stir in the flour and cook on Low Heat for 6 minutes, stirring occassionally.
Pour in the Half & Half and add all the seasonings. Ok I have to admit it, you could use Whole Milk or any Milk of your liking, but it isn't going to be as good unless you use the Half & Half....trust me.
After you add all the goods turn the heat up to Medium and stir the gift from God until it boils and finally thickens to the perfect gravy.

Even though the Sausage Gravy is the star of this meal, don't forget to serve it with Biscuits! From a can or homemade, whatever tickles your fancy!
Thank you God for bringing Dusty into my life so I could enjoy this recipe for the rest of my life, oh yeah, and because I love him! ; )
