I still eat fruit straps for lunch at Uni (Yes, I never grew out of my primary school lunches), I saw this recipe and I'm going to have to give it a go, but probably not till winter when it is feasible to have the oven on for such a long time!!
I actually only used the oven for 3 hours! I placed the baking sheet in front of a sunny window for about 10 hours (from 11am to 9pm) and then in the oven at 170 degrees (F) for 3 hours. Then I let it sit out on the counter for the rest of the night and when I woke up it was perfect!
