Valentine Surprises!

Today I came home from a long day of work and classes to find a package in front of my door. I thought, Oh yay, my new checks finally came!

Then I turned the box over to see that it wasn't my checks, it was a package from Amy of Surly Kitchen! I ran inside and opened the box to find this....
I was so excited to receive such a wonderful surprise with the cutest Valentine goodies EVER!

I was especially excited to get these mini-heart shaped springform pans!!!!

There is a story to go with these:
A couple of weeks ago, Megan from Wanna Be A Country Cleaver posted that she was either going to make Blackberry Oatmeal Cookies or a Hazelnut Cheesecake (if I remember correctly) and I voted that she make the oatmeal cookies because I didn't own a springform pan. Amy then wrote me and told me about these adorable springform pans at Target. As soon as I heard about these, I jumped in the car to Target and searched every isle for these pans and couldn't find them :(

I went back to Target 2 more times just to make sure I didn't miss them, but I couldn't find them! So you can just imagine how excited I was to open my package to find these pans. I was squealing with joy...ask Dusty, I was really squealing!

Amy also gave me these cute cupcake liners, decorations and ribbon! These will be perfect for next weekend when I go to my friends "Save-The-Date" wedding party. I was planning on bringing cupcakes and now they will be 10x cuter!

Thank you so much Amy!

I gotta say, I absolutely love the food blogging community! Everyone is so supportive and friendly! I've never received a negative comment, only words of encouragement and kindness. It's nice to know that when you go online to read these food blogs that you won't be reading about politics or gossip, only stories good food and fun! It's my happy place!!!

Thanks to Amy, you all can expect a post within the next couple of weeks about Heart-Shaped Cheesecake! :)
